What can you do after a long, hot summer day? Cool off with a good book! Your local bookstore and library has a tremendous amount of options and resources you can use to find a great read for your child, yourself, and even for your friends.
We spotted this great display at Barnes & Noble (the downtown Brooklyn branch) and was fascinated at the diversity they offer. But it doesn’t stop there! Your local library has a great variety of books to borrow, and they can reserve books for you to make it convenient.
Children won’t always volunteer to read as their first option, so make it a point to let your children see you read often. You can even leave a small stack of interesting books on the table for them to look at out of curiosity and ask them which was their favorite.
New books are always being released so keep an eye out for something exciting for your child to read.
