Dear Families,
We hope your loved ones are safe and well, despite these unprecedented and challenging circumstances. We are grateful for our community of incredible families and educators for showing ongoing commitment to offering a robust remote learning experience for our students. During the last two weeks we have been considering the most effective strategies that could enable our scholars to remain academically engaged with content they have already learned.
As we move forward, we are excited to announce and launch an online remote instructional model starting Monday, March 30, 2020. Our goal is to ensure that students are actively engaging with their academics and continuing to learn new content so that we are all ready to hit the ground running when we are able to join back together as a community. Each class will continue to follow the same curriculum and apply the units of study and themes that we were practicing throughout the school year.
In an effort to maintain compliance guidelines that concern privacy and parental consent of our new method of instruction, we are asking everyone to please carefully review, sign, and return the SmartStart Parental Consent For COVID-19 Emergency Distance Learning document. If you are unable to print, please use a digital signature option. Each form must be returned before the start of classes on Monday, March 30, 2020.
In preparation of our remote learning system, please kindly download the following (free) app on your mobile device, tablet, computer, or laptop.
You will receive an invitation from your scholar’s teacher promptly that will enable you to join our daily online meetings/classes.
