First and foremost, we want to thank you, the SmartStart families, for allowing your young scholars to enjoy their summer season with us! Unfortunately, our summer camp program will end Friday, August 30, 2019. We will resume academic enrichment activities Thursday, September 5, 2019 through our SmartStart Daycare, 3K, Pre-K, and Afterschool programs.
All of our scheduled trips are finished for summer camp. We will only have local excursions for the remainder of the summer. Our first trip for summer camp, and our first time having Wild Wednesdays, was a blast! Our excited campers made the brief trek to Martin Luther King Jr. Park and wasted no time in releasing their pent-up excitement.
What can you do after a long, hot summer day? Cool off with a good book! Your local bookstore and library has a tremendous amount of options and resources you can use to find a great read for your child, yourself, and even for your friends.
This year at summer camp, students at MOHDC SmartStart Nature Academy and Learning Center are exposed to a wide variety of creative and visual arts projects. From dance, to painting, to crafting, to theater, there is a lot of exciting activity going on.
